Re: Yellow Accents in the Living Room...

Very bright and cheery.  I like the shot of blue (whatever it is) on the mantle and wish there was a little more of it to break up the monotony of all the yellow.

@stevieb Dull and boring. Don't like the yellow or that mirror or the blah furniture.

Re: Yellow Accents in the Living Room...

The overall room is too neutral for me and these bright yellow accessories appear out of place as they're too bold and loud and, truth be told, make my eyes hurt.

Re: Yellow Accents in the Living Room...

I like yellow and I like the yellow sofa and the shades of brown striped chair.  I think there is just too much yellow.  The one blue candle stick on the mantle and the yellow jar on the table need to go.

The room needs more of a third color such as blue or green.  I like all the other pieces in the room, it just needs to be cleared of the two jarring items i mentioned and a bit more of a third color such as blues or green added to the room.

Re: Yellow Accents in the Living Room...

It's a pretty room however I think they yellow accents are too bright a yellow.  For me it's jarring. and interrupts the flow of the room. I'd remove/replace all three, but to just remove that one on the table would help the room.  Love that sofa or loveseat.  It's a beautiful soft yellow.  I'm not sure how I feel about the curtains - If the lampshades stay then I would immediately replace the curtains with something white and a little airy.  Probably for me I'd go with the white/lighter curtains either way.  Also, not sure how I feel about the blue thing on the fireplace.  does it belong in the room? or just somewhere else in the room?  what do you think?

Jaundiced is the word that comes to me while looking at this picture.

I like yellow, and think it is a pretty room, however the shade of yellow is too bright for my tastes. If it were toned down a bit, and there were a few more colors in the room , I would like it more..Not enough contrast!

I don't care for it.  When I looked at it all I saw was yellow spots.  Everything else got lost.
