Re: YOUR FAVORITE METALS IN HOME ACCESSORIES?

Thanks@oznell
I could do without the marble around the fireplace but I like the rest. My fireplace is painted brick and not this nice. I just purchased a new sofa and can see things coming together.
I love the gold mirror and I just ordered Valerie s scroll fire screen.

Thanks for your post, I find them always right up my ally, and the way you describe things is awesome. You have a way with words!

Re: YOUR FAVORITE METALS IN HOME ACCESSORIES?

I love many of these pictures, but I don’t mis metals in my home.  I do consider black as a neutral, however.  I have read every room needs a touch of black.

My DR is quite Early American.  Dark wood, black reproduction and distressed Windsor chairs.  All metals are pewter, chandelier, candlesticks, several items on my hutch.

It’s actually my favorite room in our home.

Other rooms, primarily brass.  Living room entirely, but I also have a couple antique copper items in our FR.

Outside of our brushed chrome faucet over our kitchen sink, we chose bronze accessories in our two full baths and one half bath we remodeled we remodeled last year.  For me, they fit in perfectly.

I love black wrought iron.  That's what my laps are and I'm eyeing a contemporary looking wall art decor piece that I'm probably going to order early next week.  For others, I prefer silver tones rather than gold or brass.
