Re: YOUNG ARCHITECT'S NYC APARTMENT

I'm just not fond of an eclectic style and not much about his furnishings is speaking to me except maybe for the black bookcase.  Those living room lamps give me a headache and I can't imagine having those in my home.  Oh well...if he is happy with it, that's all that matters.  He was really smart to knock out the wall in the kitchen so that he could put in the movable island.

Thanks again Oznell....I always appreciate your taking the time to post these homes!!!

An absolutely lovely apartment!  Christopher Sale did an amazing job with it.  His mural is beautiful.  I adore that sweet little Connor!  A perfect addition to this new home!

@Oznell

Honestly, Girl, I seriously don't know how on earth you find all of these wonderful gems to delight us with!

What a wonderfully talented young man!  The only thing I would change is the island.  With the table just behind, i might have used an antique butcher's block.

If you lived here we would stay in antique shops!!!

You need to see the Biltmore House, largest privately owned castle in the US.  I would love to take you through it!Smiley Happy

Re: YOUNG ARCHITECT'S NYC APARTMENT

Thank you, @ECBG !   About a milllion years ago,  I had a hasty glimpse of Biltmore, not a thorough tour.   I have a confused memory of utterly majestic grandeur.  You would be a fantastic guide to a thorough, "non-rushed" examination of its glories.

It's that mountain setting too-- just truly awe-inspiring.

What an adorable apartment! I love what he did opening the kitchen-so much better and brighter! It appears bigger than 800 square feet.. He did a great job!

Re: YOUNG ARCHITECT'S NYC APARTMENT

The use of space, the space itself, some color choices and the mural are nice features, however the decor, overall, is hardly impressive.

Re: YOUNG ARCHITECT'S NYC APARTMENT

He did a terrific job of designing and decorating a small space. I think it is beautiful, looks fun and current. Sounds like a really lovely area to live in if you like the big city.

Re: YOUNG ARCHITECT'S NYC APARTMENT

Putting his boyhood art work and his dad's boyhood artwork next to each other is a great idea and meaningful.  I like the mural he did.

@QVCisFun,  that was one of my favorite things too--  putting his early art that he did, together with his Dad's early art.   Love that!

@Oznell I agree, I love that too.  It is so touching and so inspired.

Edited to add:  Thank you @Oznell for pointing out about the artwork of the father and son, as I haven't watched the video and wouldn't have known otherwise.
