Purchased a holiday shower curtain. I don't think it is made of natural fabric, but it isn't vinyl either - perhaps polyester. Does anyone have a suggestion for removing all the creases in it? The steam from warm showers hasn't helped a bit.

I wash them on delicate cycle, then hang them up in the bathroom wet.

Throw it in your dryer with a damp rag for a 5 minutes.

Probably a fabric steamer like My Little Steamer would work. I used mine on a set of drapes that came out of the package with a bunch of creases. I put the drapes up then steamed them and the creases disappeared.

Try putting it in the dryer on No Heat along with a wet wash cloth.  Run dryer about 5 minutes.

If that doesn't work wash on delicate and dry on very low heat, but for only 5 minutes.  Hang immediately and continue to air dry.

I used a small hand held steamer.  Didn't get all the creases out but it did make it look a lot better.

@AuntG - Even though the tags said not to, I have successfully ironed both a shower curtain and a bed skirt made of synthetic materials by using a few gentle, quick passes on the backsides of the pieces with the lowest setting my iron offers. My steamer was not effective in removing the creases from either item and I just had to make them look better! Good luck...

Nothing is going to make it as crisp as ironing. Start very low and keep the iron moving, Try in a not so noticeable spot first.

I have a shower curtain that is some kind of polyester too, and it irons up beautifully. I can't stand wrinkled curtains or shower curtains! LOL

Thanks everyone! My weekend project is to dampen it. Then I will use a low heat setting and iron it. It is bound to look better.
