Wreath/Dining Room/Mantle Decor for Late Winter/Early Spring

I need some suggestions to perk up my front door, my dining room table and my fireplace mantle for this in-between time of year. I consider myself a creative person, but this time of year always has me stumped. I live in a Denver suburb, so we still have winter to contend with (although our up and down weather pattern - was in the 60s here this past week, but now cold and snow back this week). So it's not Christmas, but way too early for true Spring(y) decor.

My evergreen wreath is still on my front door (no Christmas ornaments on it, just icy branches) and I want to do something different. A lot of my neighbors go immediately from Christmas to a Valentine Day motif, but that's too limiting. I want something that will take me from pre-Valentine until I pull out my Spring/Easter things.

My dining room table is another place that needs help - it is spectacular at Christmas, then back to blah after it's all put away. I had an idea last night to pull out my Royal Albert Lady Carlyle dinnerware and gold flatware for a romantic Valentine to Easter dining room table, but need ideas for a centerpiece. I have a beautiful lace tablecloth, but need some chargers and napkins, and maybe add some VPH beaded garland to the chandelier.

Ideas to punch up the mantle as well - my den is done in true mountain style, birchbark mantle. Nature themed ideas would work well but not sure what...

Suggestions would be appreciated ladies. I wa really hoping Valerie's shows this past Friday would inspire me, but I just didn't fall in love with anything...
