I don't think it's cold, there's just too much going on for me.

I don't care for it at all. What's with all the pics on the wall? Too much clutter. Why is there a pic on the drapes? I hate drapes. Looks like that large rug covers the nice wood floors? That would be a pain for me to move to vacuum under?
The only thing I like is the large window letting in all the light.

While I like the furniture, artwork and drapery, I think, for me, I would like different artwork on that big wall to warm things up a
tad.

@Nonametoday , I think this one took a few wrong turns. Yet, the architectural bones are fabulous-- high ceilings, tall windows, lovely trim, etc.
The soft wall color is beautiful, and I've seen that combo of robin's egg blue ( a warmer blue) and lavender together before, and love it.
One of the biggest problems, in my opinion, is the "crammed" art prints. Too many, and too close together. Eliminate a few, and space the others correctly, and it would be fine.
The longer velvet couch, and the more traditional roll armed settee, look incongruous together, both in style, and their colors. I'd find a cleaner-lined couch instead of that settee, and have it in a warm ivory like the long couch, or a contrasting accent color.
I normally like tall, sort of Jacobean-type chairs, but this one looks a bit jarring with the lower backed other furniture.
Not in love with the underwhelming rug, which looks 'bland' in this setting. Ditto gold and glass coffee table.
Curtains are fine, and nice color to coordinate with the long couch.
Room has a lot of potential.

I agree on most levels that you mentioned. I do love the robin's egg blue and purple/lavender color together and have seen that done in several decorating schemes. The lavender/purple is just enough to warm the blue as it appears to be more on the red undertone than another blue.
I do love lots of things in this room; however, this looks like an elitist magazine picture, not from Southern Living, but not all theirs are perfect, either. Sometimes a family wants to use some of their own items in the room after the decorator has it all schemed out and I think some of this is that. But I agree, it's got lots of potential and lots of seriously wrong ideas.
I love the Jacobean like chair with the os de mouton woodwork. I just cannot abide the wall art. There should have been one large piece of art there, not many little's.
The furnishings are too far apart for a conversational grouping unless they are going to remove some of the tables and have a dance there. LOL

Not for me! Awful looking. Those drapes are terrible looking along with the couch. Everything is not for me. Doesn't feel comfortable or livable.

Roommates who each brought their own stuff in...

I don't find the room cold, just cluttered.
All of the artwork should be removed along with the two tables and one or two pretty one put in place.
I like the blue color! of the walls and the rug. The floor to ceiling windows are stunning, I wish there was another shot so we could see if those heavy drapes are covering more of them...

@OKPrincess wrote:I don't care for the large wall mirror and I'm not so sure about so many wall hangings.
Other than that, I could live with the rest of the furnishings.
@OKPrincess I kept looking at that spot and couldn't figure out if it was a huge mirror or an opening into another room!
