Wish I had bought Dyson TSV!!!

I am so mad at myself!  My old Dyson cordless has died and when the Dyson V15 select was the TSV, I didn't want to spend that much money. Instead I bought a V11, saving about $150. However, It leaves a streak in the middle and can scratch hardwood (known issue). Now I am looking online for the lowest price V15, which is the Absolute. It is MORE than the TSV was with all the attachments AND the DOK!!!! I can't believe I let that go by. Wish I could find somebody who plans to return their Dyson TSV. I live in NE Georgia.

Don't beat yourself up.  We all try to make the best decisions at the time.  Just move on and don't think about it again - easier said than done, I know.

@eggineer I figure it all adds up--or comes out in the wash as my mom would have said.

If it is things you REALLY use and need and rely on, go buy what you want and don't worry about the lowest price so much because it is an investment.  Like buy a very good kitchen sink, and spend less on the things you don't use every day.  Miscellaneous we all buy!

Hope that helps!  You are investing in your life, making life easier and your floors better!

Re: Wish I had bought Dyson TSV!!!

I looked at Costco and mostly other models. I've been just Googling everyday to see what is available for the price.  really thought the V11 was going to work out.....and I still may keep it. I have hardwood in the kitchen and I didn't notice any scratches. It was just that extra mark in the carpet that made me search what that was. The suction is great on the V11 though. I plan to replace my carpet with hardwood eventually and I don't want to set myself up for disappointment in the future. I tend to keep my vacuums forever.

@Sooner i hear ya!  Sage advice. I normally do what you say, but I was really trying to be good this year!  lol. I'm just SMH. I'm just in limbo as what to do. I may just keep the v11 and carry on. It does do a great job at sucking up the dirt. I used my old Dyson Ball to clean the living area carpet, and was amazed at all the "extra stuff" the v11 pulled out.

Well, I had a Dyson V11 for about 5 years. Honestly I didn't care for it. It always felt heavy and big to me, though I'm 5'1. Plus it did poorly picking up cat litter. Also it did not do well picking up along a wall.  I decided to buy the newest Shark Detect model rated highly for its' edge cleaner and I love it. It is corded, quieter and picks up way better than the Dyson. I also own two Tineco floor appliances, a cordless hard floor cleaner for flat surfaces, and a corded carpet cleaner. Highly recommend this brand

@AnyaK , thank you for this. I will look at the shark detect. The v11 did feel heavy to me too. Not familiar with Tineco but I have heard others say good things as well.
