Hello. It is time to tackle replacing the windows. We have had several companies come out and do their spiel. Really, does it take HOURS to explain a window?

And what is up with that heated lamp trick? Everyone of them gets their window to read the lowest.

Yesterday, I lost most of the afternoon with the presentation. At the end of the day, almost everyone of them quoted us a price within about $500 of the others. Makes me think that just one big company makes all of the windows and sells under various names. I could be right.

My husband likes the one that came out yesterday. We will probably get started in the spring or summertime. We are going to do all of our bedrooms first (one floor of our home), plus the bathroom. Then, we will do the other floor of our home.

Does anyone know how to find a less expensive way to replace a large bay window? That one single window is always quoted as so expensive!!!!

Sometime after the weather warms up, we are going to rip down the wallpaper and paint four rooms. I can't wait to see it go. We started to do it before, then I was pregnant and the chemicals were not recommended for me to be around in that state.

After this, the wall-to-wall carpets get ripped out!!!! I am so looking forward to that day!!! (Even though we will have to pack up our first floor and store it to get the job done.)
