I use about half a cup of Clorox in half a bucket of hot water to mop my kitchen floor. I would always pour the Clorox into the bucket, then add the hot water. The last bottle of Clorox I bought seems to have an added ingredient in it that makes it foam up when I add the hot water, as if it had detergent or some type of cleanser added to it, even though nothing is mentioned on the label. At first, I thought it was the residue of some cleanser left in the bucket from a previous use by DH, but this is not the case. Has anyone else noticed this and do you know why my bleach is suddenly foaming like detergent?

Re: Why is my Clorox foaming?

I  would ask the customer service on their website.

@Texasmouse Are you using the "no splash" version?

According to Google, Clorox adds a thickening agent to the bleach and that will make it look foamy/sudsy/bubbly.

If your bottle is just regular bleach maybe they screwed up at the bleach factory and put the wrong kind in the bottle? 🤷

Just a guess...
