In spring time I love to contemplate my favorite white paint colors. It's fun to see what decorators say too. "Kylie M" has a lot of opinions about whites, and she understands "LRV" and a whole lot about undertones too:

I really agree with her about "White Dove" and "Cloud White". Also beautiful "Siimply White" which we used for all trim and ceiling in kitchen. It's such a balanced white, not cold, at all, but not TOO creamy in our kitchen, which gets east and north light. Looks good with the "Van Alen Green" walls.
I tend to only know Benjamin Moore colors, but love to expand my knowledge of white paints. Someone recommended "Chantilly White" as well.
Do you have a go-to white?

We just finished the wood trim and cabinets and used Glidden Pure White semi gloss. Now I have to tackle the bedrooms which will take time. I had most of the doors and door trim replaced by Home Depot to match baseboards. Tedious but fun and rewarding.

I am partial to Kelly Moore's "Bone" color, a soft white.
I think KM may be unique to the western states.
I haven't done any checking to see whether these "Moore" companies are connected. (Even though I'm on the internet right this minute!)

Gosh, @OKPrincess, did you do your own cabinets? Good for you. We ended up having a painter paint our wood cabinets, and wish we hadn't. We had purchased a special B. Moore paint specifically made for cabinets. It needed special application methods, so hubby carefully pointed that out and tried to help them with their questions.
The painters ignored the instructions for this kind of paint, and, less than two years later, the cabinets are showing it. Have already had some cracks, etc, developing. Usually we have had great luck with contractors, but not that time.

That's interesting, @GingerPeach-- I think I have heard of that brand before, and wondered if there was a connection. It does seem likely...

I think the Moore name is just a coincidence.
Picking out a white paint is pure torture, even though I’ve read umpteen articles on the subject.
@GingerPeach, is the Bone color more beige than white?

Here is a pic of our cabinets. DH sanded and I painted them. We spray painted the gold toned hardware to silver. Still need to do new countertop and backsplash because it’s tile and breaks off along the edges. This was my parents house bought in 1965 and now mine. Love the white.

It's a creamy white. (Online images make it look beige, however.)

I can’t believe this post! I am currently agonizing over a shade of white for my walls. BM colors. So many samples taped to the walls when I think I have made a final decision, I change my mind once again. Looking forward to comments.

I like BM White Dove if I want a warm white and Chantilly Lace If I am going for cool white color.
All of my trim is natural cherry wood, so I don’t need to paint it.
