@lolakimono  Loving all the additional photos with the use of blue, but you are making my decisions harder! LOL!!!

It was easier when I only had a few choices to think about.

My contractor and his father came over last night and got his much-experienced dad to comment on whether or not the wall I want knocked out to make a huge area would work, and he said yes. "If the Property Brothers can do it, so can I!" ha!

If he does that, it would open up the dining room, and upon entering the house, you could see the living room, dining room, family room, breakfast eating area, and the kitchen.

I think I will have to retire to oversee this, as my little dog would have fits if this was all going on and she had to be shut out of the house or kept back in one of the rooms with no way to see what was happening.

This is still my favorite and comes closest to the feel and style I want, where you can see several rooms from one vantage point.

After shampooing one of the rooms yesterday, I have decided FOR SURE to rip out all the rugs; no question about it. I shampoo all the rugs twice a year, and I am not sure having the nice cozy feel under my barefeet continues to bring me joy. ha!
