When instructions say hand wash - do you?

Generally I will wash on gentle in the washer with cold water - but i rarely hand wash anything. If the item is very delicate I put it in a lace bag i have and wash on gentle/cold. Then i have a drying rack that I keep in the spare bathroom in the tub to lay things on to dry.

If it can't make it through the washer then out it goes. I never dry these type of clothes, always hang to dry. I put my bras and underwear in a bag. Almost everything I wash on gentle.

It depends on the item, but most of my items can go in the washer in cold water. Now that I have a washer without an agitator, even delicates are pretty safe. I do drip dry most everything except sheets and towels. I think the heat of the dryer is harder on most items than the action of the washer.

I have a front loader so no agitator and it has a hand wash cycle. I haven't hand washed anything since I was a young girl.

Almost never. I usually don't buy "hand wash" items due to concerns about care, but if I find something gorgeous at a resale store for a great price, I may give it a shot. Usually I wash it in the machine on gentle cycle, in a net bag if I think it's really delicate. Then I'll hang it or lay it flat or machine dry it on delicate cycle, depending on directions or what seems appropriate. Usually works out just fine.

I don't hand wash anything. I have a few delicate undies that go in a bag in the washing machine but if I don't think it will survive the washing machine I don't buy it.

i have a hand wash choice on my washing machine so that is what i use if something says hand wash. if it is something i am overly concerned about then i may take it to the dry cleaners.

Most manufacturers say hand wash just to cover themselves. Today's washers have gentle cycles, no need to hand wash.

Nope, unless I'm in a hotel and desperate, ha, ha.
