When do you start your Christmas Decorating? - Page 4

The day after Thanksgiving and finish it up on Saturday. I don't do the whole house or the outside besides a couple of things on the front porch.

I will start the Friday after Thanksgiving, and hope to have it completed by Sunday evening.

I have not decorated the outside of my home in years, except for a wreath on the front door.

Since the weather will be nice tomorrow and our sons will be here, the outside lights will go up tomorrow. Husband is going out to get the trees on Saturday with our sons and grandbabies. We have a friend who allows us to cut fresh trees on his tree farm. I will spend next week decorating inside.

We are doing a bit more this year as we will be doing some entertaining over the holidays. We have not really entertained anyone but family for a few years and I guess it's time to host a few events. Can you tell how excited I am? 😊

I’ll put up my tree tonight or this weekend. I really enjoy it lighted every evening. Not a ton of other decorations. A centerpiece, a wreath for the front door. A Mr. Christmas red truck that I bought last year and forgot to put it out!

Simple and easy. Works for us. I’ll keep it up until early January.

Thanksgiving Day eve I place the flameless candles in the front windows. I start the indoor and outdoor decorating the weekend after Thanksgiving -- it's raining like crazy here, for days, so I won't be able to decorate outside until Sunday when we begin to dry out. The professional lighting guys were here a few weeks ago to put the house lights up but I won't turn them on until all the outside decorations are in place. Everything done by 12/1 then glow and sparkle until New Years Day.

@CANDLEQUEEN , we finished outside yesterday. Did the worst part a couple of weeks ago. We lit up two large blue spruce and the top string if lights on one had an issue. A bad connection. Why is it always the top strand??? Got the stepladder out and changed it out. Will do inside next week. Nothing goes on til Dec 1.

I always look forward to seeing the outdoor lights. LM
