Re: When do you start your Christmas Decorating?

Tree going up today.  Little nativity set under it and that's probably it for us!

Re: When do you start your Christmas Decorating?

We usually do it Thanksgiving weekend but this year we are travelling in early December so we put the inside decor up over the long Veterans' Day weekend and will likely do the outside decorations this weekend.

Re: When do you start your Christmas Decorating?

Already started last weekend while putting Halloween away.  My living room seemed dreary without the Halloween color. Now I have a mixture of fall for Thanksgiving and Christmas.

The remaining fall items will be removed Monday and Tuesday for Christmas.  After 2 years of not being in a decorating mood, I'm ready for happy christmas decorations.

Lights were put up outside last week while it was warm also they just won't be turned on until Sunday.

Re: When do you start your Christmas Decorating

Welp. Since the addition of a Florida house panther, aka Stanley the kitten, there will be little to no decorating. He is six months old and wild! Busy, curious, creatively mischievous. I can't even tell you all the crazy things he's done. So here is my decorating plan: a wreath on the front door and a small nativity scene in the yard. Haha. The two places Stanley can't get to.
No candles this year. Don't want a tail catching fire.
None of my unique nativity sets displayed. They are each from other countries, gifts from my daughter.
No tree, obviously 🙄

No holiday plants

But hey- I'm just happy to have given this crazy baby a great home.

@smoochy My daughter has a little crazy cat too, a funny crazy.. He is 2 years old now, so they did put up a tree, but he still meddles with it, so no decorations on the bottom branches.....No candles unless they are flameless.....

Trucker daughter got a wild hair on this 50 degree day and decorated our front porch, so the lights are on now!  She's happy, so guess that's all that matters.

Re: When do you start your Christmas Decorating?

Normally the 1st week of December but not sure when this year.

My handyman hurt his back and he can't lift so I'm hoping to find someone to get up in attic.  I'd be happy just to wreath on the door and put up my tree.

Going to take me awhile to put away my Halloween/Fall decor.

Re: When do you start your Christmas Decorating?

I'll do it this weekend.  My autumn decor is up through the Thanksgiving holiday, but the next day it becomes CHRISTMAS SEASON at this house!
