Interestingly enough I adore this kitchen, even though I've never been a big, big fan of wood floors or counters in the kitchen or of 'farmhouse' sinks...

I just find it unusual to build/decorate a new home around old oxblood furniture

@151949

I have found them to work well in different decor styles and color schemes...We also have deep red leather pieces that have just gotten more beautiful over the years. I wouldn't consider changing them out for new.

Enjoy selecting your finishes....sounds like it will be beautiful.

@Bri36, make room for me next to you.

We just had a new home built within the last year; the builder used the same color in each home; kind of like a chalk white.  They highly suggested we don't paint until after the first year was up, particularly with the year warranty that include repairing nail pops, etc.

One of the other neighbors didn't want to wait and paid the painter 3 times the amount it cost us after waiting a year.  She wishes she didn't because they had a bunch of nail pops and other things happen; when they came in to repair, they used the chalk white paint and they had to repaint those areas over again.

Mega YUCK!  Sell the furniture and get new ones that go with the vibe of your new home.

I would get rid of the oxblood furniture. Then you can pick a new color scheme.
