Re: What's your housekeeping schedule?

My schedule is that I don't have one!  I try to keep things picked up and wiped off, etc. every day.  Heavy cleaning, well that is another story.  It gets done when it gets done.  Laundry gets done once a week.  I refuse to be a slave to housework these days.

Re: What's your housekeeping schedule?

When I moved up here 53 years ago my MIL pointed out a lovey home when we were out. She was giving me the lay of the land so to speak.

The woman had every day scheduled. Not Monday is laundry, Tuesday is floors, it was breakfast from 7 to 7:30am, clean up breakfast dishes/kitchen 7:30 to 8am. All day was like that.

If you called to see about meeting for coffee or lunch and you weren't on the schedule it didn't happen.

I laughed because I thought she was kidding.  She wasn't.

That is a wee bit too OCD for me.

Re: What's your housekeeping schedule?

My fall/winter cleaning schedule is different than my spring/summer schedule because of all the gardening I normally do. We did, finally, hire someone to mow and edge our yard. He takes care of about 8 houses around us and his price is very low. He did just tell us he was retiring after 2023. Drat it all.

Our house is pretty big and my husband helps a lot with cleaning. He takes care of 2 bathrooms and I take care of the other 3. He helps with dishes, laundry, making the bed and changing sheets.

I like a clean and tidy house, but would not say I am a neat freak. My sister would disagree...but I think she's messy as all get out and hate going to her house. Love her, but yowza, she is messy.

I have a housekeeper.  She cleans every other week.  She does a very good job, too.  I have zero complaints!
