Not sure I agree, but I recently watched a Cook's Country program where they rated dish soaps. Their winner was Mrs. Meyers. It's a bit old, from 2014, but here's the article:

I typically use Dawn but I'm really into scents. In the fall/winter I might use the apple flavored Dawn, and other times the orange or citrus version. I've also been using a nice almond scented dish soap I picked up at Homegoods.

My mom found some Mrs. Meyers and loved it. I thought it smelled great, but never did try it.

Blue Dawn really is the best, and I do buy it, but I hit up dollar tree as well, and you will find a big mix at my house of some Ajax, original green Palmolive, Joy, and various varieties of Dawn. If I had to pick my favorites, it would be Dawn and Palmolive.

Blue Dawn for me as well.

I've bought others but DH really likes the Dawn if he has greasy hands from working on something.

Another vote for blur dawn.  Mix with water and spray on plants to get rid of bugs on my gardenia plants too.

Dawn, it's the only dishwashing detergent I use.  It's also great for soaking dishes that are baked on.

With so many blue Dawn users, it's amazing that there are still so many other brands available.
