Re: What's the oldest item on your house to-do list?

The only job on our list is to redo the hallway ceiling to repair the crack created from the house settling.

Re: What's the oldest item on your house to-do list?

Our home is only two years old.  I've been bugging my DH to defrost the chest freezer located in the garage.  He wants to wait til cooler weather so we can put the food in storage containers and add ice with a covering to keep it frozen.  I'm hoping the defrosting can happen soon and that the process will be quick.  Cooler weather is on its way.

The first item on my list is replacing my patio door. That will finally be done this morning. Next will be replacing my flat roof.(I hate flat roofs) I'll get some quotes next week on having that done.

Well we have been on the waiting list for a whole house generator for over a year but I think the oldest item is refacing the cabinets in the master bath and replacing the countertop.

Well, getting our walk-in shower done has just been postponed for the second time.  Pushed back is probably a better way to say it.  They can't get  the things in that they plan to install.  This is part of the trickle down I guess, until we get more back to normal again. Oh well, I'll hold onto that money until we can get on a roll.

The oldest to do was replacing our stairs and hall carpeting. It is done! They came Wednesday. It was worse than I imagined. Husband took the old one off and it was dangerous trying not to walk on the nails.

That's next for us after we have to gt walk-in shower done.
