We need to buy a small summer house so I can use some of these ideas. I will run this by my husband!

My bedroom has been predominately shades of cream for years. I love it, but it’s not practical for the rest of the house. 

An aunt had basically an all white house (carpets, chairs, sofa included). Even the bathroom was in white carpet. No one was allowed to read a newspaper, eat or drink outside the kitchen. Gentlemen were not allowed to “stand” in the bathroom. Of course shoes were banned. A pet never passed the threshold. I don’t know how her husband and son tolerated this situation. It was a prison. She was gracious as a guest in my home but I dreaded visits to hers for fear of leaving a mark.
