Re: What kind of carpet cleaner do you have?

My DH and DS "went halves" on a Rug Doctor several years ago.  It has proven to be a worthwhile investment.  DH has pets that are problems sometimes and we have a light gray carpet in our lakehouse that needs periodic cleaning.  It is heavy, but does the job.

Re: What kind of carpet cleaner do you have?

@SouthernBee, I have a Bissell for my area rugs.  The only problem is that they don't last very long.  They are also bulky for storage.   I have had this one about three or four years and it is going strong.  The other one did not last long at all.  The one that I have now is from Costco.

The next time that I hear salt and ice together, it better be in a margarita!

Bissell !! I always have dogs, kids, etc. and have had a variety of carpet cleaners. Bissell wins in this house. The scrubbing brush system that is on their machines really does the job for me. (I have very light carpet--champagne color) The biggest perk is that it is easy to take apart to clean. I've had other ones that it was a project to refill or clean. Not this brand.
