What is the VIBE you get from this room? - Page 6

The vibe I get is the designer was a little (OK A LOT) tipsy when designing this room. Seriously, some of the pieces are OK but, overall, they aren't my style and it just doesn't coordinate well enough for me.

Knowledge is knowing that a tomato is a fruit, but Wisdom is knowing not to put it in a fruit salad.

@ALRATIBA You wouldn't like our house! It's mostly soft beiges and creams and light blues, aqua blues. We have lots of color from books on shelves in the den and office, but blue is my most loved color since childhood! Especially those beachy aqua like blues popular now!

I do too..my mother decorated her living room in soft aqua with light coral accents...it was beautiful! Aqua is big now..even in Christmas decor~

It's a weird juxtaposition of serentiy and tension.

The colors and design are very calming and serene, but the layout says no one in the room wants to talk to anyone else in the room and feels very tense and unwelcoming.

The sofas are way too far apart to feel inviting and the chairs make me think any people sitting in the would be crossing their arms and frowning.

It looks like more than one person was in charge of decorating the room. They couldn't decide on one them and structure and hence conjured up an awkward compromise. The vibe you get is tranquil confusion? Soothing colors but too much going on.
