We will be buying a new king-size mattress this year. I'd like to know what type is your favorite, and what brands you like and have had good luck with.
It's a new bedding world out there since we bought last, and any experiences and likes would be helpful and appreciated! Thanks!

Stearns and Foster, best mattress we've ever had.

I sleep hot and have fibromyalgia so mine is a 'cool gel' (ventilated) memory foam.

My favorite mattress: medium firm, the pillow top will not pack down showing a human imprint, is no more than 12 inches deep, is a traditional box spring/mattress ie not in a compressed box.
Have yet to find this including Sterns and Foster.

When we downsized several years ago we bought a new mattress. After much research we decided on a Casper. We also purchased the support box (not a box spring) that's made for it. Yes it came in a box and I have to say has been literally the best mattress we ever slept on. At the time they offered 3 versions, we picked the middle one and are very satisfied. I went on to purchase Casper pillows, sheets and blankets!

We have a king size firm Beautyrest. The best part is that we cannot feel anything when the other person moves.
I am not interested in all the new gel, etc mattreses. No need to fix what isn't broken IMO.

We have always bought Sealy for our mattress. They work very well for me, and, I deal with back issues. They are comfortable and relieve back pain for me.

Over the yrs have had Beautyrest and Serta in addition to Sealy Posturepedic. Hands down Sealy Posturepedic. In fact just purchased a SP Hybrid Plush.

I have a Casper mattress along with their pillows. Best mattress I've had. Previously I had a Serta and I will say I will never buy a mattress with springs again. That was the worst mattress I've ever had. I would wake up every morning with aches from my neck on down. With the Casper I wake up with no aches and pains and I can sleep on my side which I couldn't do on a spring mattress.

I purchased Sealy for years and liked them. I found if the warranty was 10 yrs, in yr 11 I needed a new set.
I bought 2 sets of Beautyrest from HSN. About 10-11 yrs ago. Very happy but my set in King is beginning to wear. Just took delivery of Westin's Heavenly Bed by Beautyrest in Queen for the guest bedroom to replace a Sealy set. Thrilled so far. All are traditional with foundations.
I didn't want foam, cooling gel or bed in a box.
