Re: What hard floor surface would you recommend

@Shelbelle

I was going to say the same thing. I have oak colored - several shades - of laminate flooring in my kitchen for 17 years - perfect!!! So easy to care for and always looks new.

Have you thought about porcelain plank tile?  Here is the link to a thread from a couple of months ago.  If you scroll down, my foyer is in there somewhere.  Others posted pictures too.

A grocery store very close to me put down some sort of laminate that I still think looks like wood, even after it having been there well over 5 years, maybe even 10.  I lose track of time for that kind of thing.

Next time I go I can ask.

Here's a photo I found online.  It looks even better in person.

Funny you should bring it up, but I have been wondering if I could find and industrial/commercial application that would look 'real' enough, and not like it was commercial.

This looks really nice, and if it holds up there, should take what I can dish out!

Viynl floor plans are scratch proof and water proof. They look like hard wood to me. I think laminate would scratch to easy.

@Mominohio,

Prior to my surgeries, once I developed intense pain with bearing weight on my knees, the type of flooring I stood on made absolutely no difference.
