Re: What frustrates you most about housework?

Hi, I can imagine how anxious and stressed your feeling about surgery...no one can take that away but it sure helps to have friends and family to talk to about it.  Think about how good your knee will feel moving forward and all the things you'll be able to do without pain...my next door neighbor had both knees replaced, after physical therapy and continued excercise, he skied 186 days this past winter....no pain!  He's so happy to be pain free and that he had the surgeries.  All will be good because God always has your back!

Dust.  Where does it come from?  Makes me nuts dusting and two days later, I can see it starting again. (and I have an air cleaner attached to our HVAC system).

I'd love for someone to invent a whole house system that would suck all the dust out of the house weekly.  Heck, I even assist by twirling around the house stirring it up the dust.  I often wonder how the different stores and shops remain so dust free.  I am certain they are not going around dusting all day.

@AlleghenyActually, in the large gift shop of beautiful handmade things in which I worked last Christmas, we did dust every day!  UGH!

I hate all housekeeping chores, but I hate to see dust and hate to dust the most.

 Thank goodness for Swiffer dusters!

That I have to do it!  Honestly, I hate it.  It takes time away from other fun things.  Plus since having back surgery years ago it actually hurts my back, and can wipe me out for the rest of the day.

Re: What frustrates you most about housework?

I had 5 children plus pets, and a husband. It wore me to a frazzle, and annoyed everyone around me to have a weekend day to do marathon cleaning...at times I can honestly say we didn't like each other very much at the end of the day!

Then, by happenstance, I discovered Flylady's website, which taught me ways to make cleaning less of a chore...and is totally FREE.

I'm now 63, still following what I learned on that website, and haven't had a stressed out cleaning session in many many years. She taught me organization and how to have a plan to keep everything from piling up, which was just what I needed.

I love having a company-ready house.

Re: What frustrates you most about housework?

Sometimes the more you know, ain't so!  Sometimes I just wind up being more freaked out.  I'm also 66 and have had a cone biopsy, it's a surgery where the neck of the cervix is removed.  During my post partum exam he took cultures and they revealed cervical cancer cells.  Thank goodness they were localized and did not penetrate the cervical wall.

I believe it's called "insitu" where abnormal cells are contained within the surface.  There but for the grace of God go I...

this is was back in 1984 and so far so good.  Have faith, all will be well...I'll be thinking about you and pray God blesses you with calm, peace and great recovery.
