Love the Victorian architecture, one magnificent house.  It looks like the brick has been restored and green with the restored brick color is too intense (don't know why the brick is so red?).  I would prefer a different color than the green that would complement and tone-down the intense brick red, preferably a historical period color....this is too Christmassy-looking for me!

I don't really like Victorian homes.  I do like the greens they used.

A very typical "Painted Lady",  of the sort that populates older parts of urban America.  Traditional San Francisco is famous for abounding in Painted Ladies, with all sorts of imaginative color combos.  When people started to gentrify these old structures, many were keen to produce the original bold Victorian color schemes.

I really enjoy looking at examples of the genre-- there's a wonderful book devoted to page after page of them-- but would not be my favorite style to live with.  A wonderful, historic legacy of earlier times, though.

We have a Main Street in this beach town and the houses look a lot like this.

The small town next to mine is the County Seat, it's main street is lined with painted ladies...it's take your breath away beautiful. I like the colors on this lady too.

Although it seems to me that most houses with the 'painted lady' vibe don't feature so much brick, these colors seem to work, given this one has so much orangy-red brick to contend with... I like the house...

Works for the "gingerbread trim" on this old Victorian home. Someone has done a nice restoration, without it being gaudy.
