If you look closely at the painting their are all kinds of animals the cats being most forward. I think this person is a physiatrist and this is what he perceives to be the mind in chaos.

At first, I was inclined to say it was cute, but then saw too much symbolism all pointing in the same direction and began to get a creepy vibe.  

A human family with black cat heads.  Black cat symbolism...spooky.

The black bird looks like a crow...a symbolism of death.

Can't be sure what is standing behind the cat with a human body, but it's black and wearing something over the head...ghost like.  

Upper left hand corner, a bat. Often seen in horror movies.  

The tan cat on the left doesn't have a tail.

Not sure what the black shadow is above the two dogs.

Cat head with no body.

Fox - sly and cunning.  

The normal looking dogs are the only salvation in this picture.  

The furniture is very masculine.  I wouldn't expect a male to choose this picture.  

There's much more going on in this picture.  

Let's just say I wouldn't go on a date with him.
