I am currently trying to figure out what to do with the front of my house now. My house is a red brick (more of a coral red) with light colored grout. I hate the color of my brick. I wish I could stain the grout  darker but my DH says no way. I am currently picking out chocolate brown shingles. My shutters and gutters are white. I will have to keep the gutters. I have been looking at flea markets for some old shutters. I would like to change my door and I have no clue what to do. I will change the shutters to match but I want an old style look. I have cedar window boxes. Should I do a wood door or a color

We have a totally wooded lot.  The house is a two story cedar with a wrap around porch.  Shutters are dark chocolate and the door is Williamsburg red.

It is a Knotty Alder door stained a deep brown. Similar to this color:

My double front doors are white.  If they were a dark color you wouldn't notice them because the entry porch is very recessed.

I don't have a front door. I have all windows and doorwalls facing the lake in front of my home. So I guess my answer is clear.
