About 15 years ago I remodeled my house and thought, this time I'm going to do it exactly the way I want.

OMG...now I look at it and ask nyself, WHAT was I thinkng???? Oh well...after we die our heirs can do anything they want with it. It would make a nice "starter" home or whoever ends up with it can tear it down and put up townhouses, a McMansion (it's on a nice-sized lot) or the fire department can use it for practice.
