Deep red for me--inside and out, front and back doors. Looks great with gray wood siding.

@Sooner wrote:@just bee I can't imagine how difficult that must be! One reason I was thinking of a charcoal gray was that it would match the roof and not be as dark as black. I will bet your door was lovely!
I can't imagine making all the decisions required to rebuilt! I feel for anyone who goes through that!
It's especially difficult if you're someone who doesn't relish making decisions in the first place! ![]()
When the house was first built, we chose a black roof, white trim and white door. Over time, the roof faded to charcoal/dark gray.
I really enjoyed the new roof and olive door. Looked great with that red brick and totally changed the look of the house.
Now we have a brick that was made here in Albuquerque. It's a very textured brick with cream, charcoal and terra cotta. Dark brown roof tiles, pumpkin door, white trim. Garage door is wood grain and darkish gray. It works.
Went from very traditional to contemporary.

@just bee Your house sounds beautiful! My mom had a dark gray/brown brick house and had a peach/coral front door! I loved it!

white on the inside and beige on the outside.
two glass side panels and glass on main door......almost like a stained glass look without the colors and the glass pieces framed in gold.......clear and blurred pieces of glass. LOL that is the best way i could describe it.

Deep, darker magenta! It's not as shocking as it sounds.
The house is gray/green with darker green accents, and our door color makes me happy whenever I see it. (It's white on the inside.)
Get some paint samples and paint some swatches and whatever color makes you smile, go for it!!
ETA: Your color choices sound great to me.

I had peach/cream/gray brick in mind for the rebuild and what we ended up with was close enough.
Your mom's house sounds beautiful, too!![]()

Mine was supposed to be a darker cherry color but it turned out to be more of a lighter cherry rust color. I was disappointed at first but the color we ended up with does match my wheat colored home with green shutters so we stuck with it.

Green on front and the inside is white.
