Wallpaper is making a huge comeback now. I love some that I see, however, do not have any in my home.
Maybe some day I'll get our powder room done. I think it would look stunning. That would be a good start.
Enjoy your wallpaper everyone! ![]()

In the 80's and 90's, I was big into wallpaper, borders, and chair rails. It was part of the country style of decorating that was popular then. Little by little, it's been eliminated. The only room that still has border is the home office. That whole room needs an overhaul but there are other priorities right now. Maybe I'll get to it this winter.

When we closed on our house, we didn't move in for 2 months so we could spend all our free time at the house removing wallpaper. It was in every room. Multiple layers. No wallpaper for us since then. I do like wallpaper on maybe an accent wall or a guest bath, but would never put it in the kitchen.

I don't really love wallpaper, but I wouldn't be opposed to it, if it was something I really loved, and it made sense in the space. My husband hates wallpaper.
I spent years removing the wallpaper in our house that we purchased in 1999. I didn't like most of her choices. She had huge colorful florals in most rooms so those were the first to go. I slowly did one room at a time, and I chose various neutral paint colors for each room.
Some rooms were easier to remove than others. The paper in the bedrooms came off fairly easily. The bathrooms were the worst. There were several layers and it came off in tiny pieces no matter what method I tried. I tried to repair the walls myself, but I finally hired a company that fixed the walls and remodeled the bathrooms too.
I liked the blue and white striped kitchen wallpaper with country scenic border so it stayed until I hired a remodeler to knock out part of a wall and redo the countertops and floor.
I finally finished removing the last of the wallpaoer in 2019. The previous owner glued it over the concrete walls in the finished part of the basement. That was quite a chore.

Until our present home, every single house we bought had wallpaper that we painfully had to take down. A terrible job... No, I would not put up wallpaper.
