Re: Water levels on new washers - UGG!

I have a front loading Samsung and I love it.  It does not allow me to set a water level but rather has a sensor in it to determine how much water it needs.  I do try to do what I consider a larger load though as I still feel placing only a few things in the washer is a waste.

I work in an office but my DH does not.  The pants he wears to work often times get super muddy.  So muddy in fact that I hose them off first because I don't want all that going in the washing machine.  I have never had a problem with the clothes not coming out clean.

This post sure makes me glad I picked a front loader.  We are on a well and water savings is important.  Clothes are coming out better than with my old top washer.

Re: Water levels on new washers - UGG!

I've had an LG front loader for quite a time and  can add more water and do  secomd rince if I feel it is necessary. The only thing that I don't like is that the wash cycle is longer that I would like.  There are so many features on this machine that at times I have to get the manuel out to do what I want done.  Great machine and when this one goes will buy another.

Re: Water levels on new washers - UGG!

My old washer had a soak cycle 10, 20 or 30 min soak in the soapy water would really get my clothes clean  with very little agitation. Now, the new washer doesn't have this feature and it does agitate the clothes much harder which I can't help but think does some damage to them. They are all tangled up when I get them out, never were like this in the old washer. However, the loads are clean much faster so it does take less time to do a weeks laundry.

Re: Water levels on new washers - UGG!

I have had an LG top loader (no agitator) for about 4 years.  My clothes get dirty!  I work out, hike in dusty areas, and work out in my yard year round.

Everything comes out clean.  Maybe it's due to the detergent?  I use Tide HE.
