I watch Valerie pretty much like I watch jewelry shows - to remind me what's already in the house that Ihaven't dug out for a long time. I don't need a thing - I need to cull and donate and more and more I'm moving toward less is more
But in the meantime I can iron and not have to pay total attention to a story line - and that's where I'm going right now. See you later!

@Mominohio - I'm like you regarding spring decor. I don't like the pastel colors and they don't go with any of my paint colors, etc. The only decorating I do for spring is putting a wreath on my front door, but nothing inside.

I am so over all that stuff---just clutter that needs to be dusted. Got new carpeting last Sept and when the old rug went away, most of the "stuff" on tables and walls went with it. But then I stayed with the same tired theme for 30 years---so thats my fault----I have a couple wreaths that are made of interesting textiles and natural materials, but would never use anything with the fake plants/ flowers. Funny how your tastes change. Now all I want is clean, non fussy and easy to deal with.

I never thought I'd say this BUT I am completely "underwhelmed" with the VPH selections especially for a 25th anniversary show! It's almost as exciting as Wednesday (1/10) TSV -- popcorn from Farmer John🙄🙄🙄😉😉😉😉
Maybe it's me because I now have discovered Home Goods, Marshalls & of course the usual stores - Michaels, Joanne's, HL & Old Time Pottery. Oh I need to stay out of Pier One too!
I bought this wreath over the weekend ($39.99) 1/2 price w/additional 20% off at Michaels. They have beautiful Spring things & Joannes has even bigger selection.

@homedecor1, that is so pretty! And I really like your mirror. I find that sort of medium "fruitwood" finish to be very warm and attractive, regardless of what the wood really is.

@Oznell I enjoyed the show and will watch the rest of them because I adore Valerie. I purchased the pedestals in ivory (H214484). I got a new wool rug in the living room and it has quite a bit of cream mixed in, so thought these would look lovely. I have tons of luminaras to complete the look.

I have a weakness for roosters too, violann. Whenever they come on I have to stop in my tracks and gape at them...
@millieshops, your comment about watching Valerie and being reminded of what you already have is such a good one. I noticed Valerie has a new illuminated satin glass urn/ginger jar. The one in white reminds me of milk glass, my passion, and I was thinking, would look so good blended in with my small milk glass collection.
BUT, i can sort of replicate the look already, (and have done) by taking my existing footed milk glass vase and putting a tea light or fairy lights in it. Have already discovered that lights and candles produce a beautiful translucent glow through my milk glass pieces...

I think the spring wreath would make a pretty centerpiece for a spring wedding reception, with a candle or something in the center, but for my home I like my wreaths without too much fluff, or stuff on them. I like to make my own wreaths - and before anyone applauds me, LOL, here is how I make my own. I have two simple basic green wreaths that I've had for years, and I just add seasonal picks in them. Easy in, easy out. No having to store multiple wreaths.
Yesterday I added a burlap bow to one and then hot glued a few of those candy hearts on the bow for V-day. I may add more to it, but my simple taste is kinda liking it as is.

@pattypeep, those pedestals are beautful! And they are so different, with that exquisite, tight topiary look of the the massed tiny flowers-- excellent choice, and I have to admit I was sorely tempted. No wonder they were flying out the door.
If I hadn't recently got her pedestal with the illuminated hobnail glass "globe" in the center, I might have broken down completely!

I did like those pretty flowers in the vase with lights....both the magnolia and the peonies were very beautiful. BUT I know I can find things like this locally all over the place...shipping charges turn me off big time. I may put one on my Wish List and if Q ever has a free ship day....maybe if I haven't found something I love before that.
I am attempting to STOP ordering anything from any shopping channel and only purchase what I NEED locally instead. Many times things come home and just don't look like they did on air or they don't work with my room and it is a nightmare to return this stuff...cost wise. No more of that.
Like Shawn keeps saying she is on a spending freeze due to her shock from all the EP's each month she has! Me too....I over did it this yr....I even feel kinda sick about it like I over ate at a meal until I could burst LOL!
I am attempting to organize everything....and declutter even more....I did alot of that the last 18mo's but there is still more to go.
I like to watch just to see and will compare what Michaels has.....I only would like a wreath for my door to be honest....but not this TSV one to old fashioned for my decor and home.
