@nyc1   I just purchased this about two months ago.  I love the smell and now use it in every load.  Love this product.

@Pooky1   LYSOL LAUNDRY SANITIZER is also a wonderful product.  I use it in EVERY wash.  It has a very light fresh scent.

@lynnie61  I found out about it during Covid,  when it was so difficult to find.  It sold out everywhere and there were limits on how many you could purchase.   I even was in contact with Lysol to see if they had ramped up their production!!!!!   Love this product.  I put it in the WASH cycle rather than the Rinse.  Sometimes both.

Re: Washing towels.

[ Edited ]

@Pooky1  Whenever I have a wet bath towel & I won't be doing laundry that day, I hang it up to dry (shower rod) or toss it in the dryer for 10-15 minutes. Kitchen towels go in the dryer.

Even if I get my sleeves wet, if it's not a laundry day I drape the top over the laundry hamper until it's dry.

Years ago, I used to find that when my child threw a damp towel in the laundry basket, the towel could end up with a mildewy odor before laundering.

@Pooky1   I am having the same issue and wash my towels like you described...sometimes when I use a clean towel, I get a sour smell, not always but ick.

I never use fabric softener or any other fragrance...just vinegar and soap....I will be anxious to read the replies.

A reminder.  Only use bleach on 100% cotton white fabric.  If there is any polyester in the fabric, the bleach will yellow the fabric.

If you want to whiten poly fabric...wash it with automatic dishwashing liquid.  It is made to whiten plastic.

@haddon9, I have been using Nellie’s for many years and swear by it. I now add Lysol Sanitizer and my laundry smells fresh. I don’t have any white towels.
