That entire room does nothing for me at all....the wallpaper, bookcase, light fixture, furniture....I'll pass on this one!

I like the wall paper and the sofa. The blue walls need to go. The sofa needs to face the fireplace is some aspect. 

Remove the book shelf that's on the fireplace wall completely. The rug doesn't add anything to the space, looks a liitle hodgepodge to me. The chandelier is a little too much.

Someone went bold then wimped out with the blue walls.  Walls a little darker than the darkest leaf and a much larger cofffee table to visually support the chandelier.would look better than what is there.  Odd to be so brave and drop the ball.

 

ETA:  I forgot to mention those awful shelves.  No!
