I've decided to paint my living room and kitchen/dining room this weekend. it is a semi-open with just a small divider wall between the dining and living room.
So, the question is, I have picked two shades of sand. One being a darkish taupe the other being one shade lighter. The darkish taupe is a shade darker than my recliner in the living room and I have light beige berber carpet and the couch is off white with tans/taupe/turquoise, oak trim throughout the house as well as kitchen cupboards with dark brown counter tops with a little bit of tans/black and lightish tan tile floor.
So, the question is, do I do the darker color on the kitchen walls and the lighter in the living room or vice versa?? I've always done the kitchen a shade lighter but wondering if the darker taupe will be too dark and the furniture will blend in with the walls. One whole wall in the living room is windows with southern exposure. Kitchen is small with very little exposed wall space and northern exposure window.
Any input would be greatly appreciated
