May I suggest: get swatches and tape them to the wall in places. The light during the day/evening determine what “tones” you will be seeing at any time. Put the swatches near the floor and window.

i did this b/c I wanted a paint color that would mimic pickled pine, which has warm tones (peach) and cool tones (pink) combined. 

The less intense the color, the easier it is to live with for me.

This setting is not really white white, which to me is too cold.  The floor here is being reflected onto the ceiling.

It looks more neutral to me because there are brown tones in it.

I would go with a llight blue gray.  Your cat would look great against that backdrop.
