Re: WM BH&G..Holiday dinnerware

I was in our WM today and they didn't have any holiday, just the every day dinnerware in BH&G. I really don't care for Owl one. I just bought some Christmas dinnerware at our Goodwill store. Doesn't look like it's ever been used. Paid $6.00 for service for four and a little later found four more dinner plates. Lucky find.

You can get them online. I have some of the salad plates that I got last year just to mix into my Christmas table scape and they are darned cute for the money. Not sure if I like the owl - need to see it in person.

The Good Will is a great place to get holiday dinnerware for next to nothing; since it's used so little, I don't like to invest a lot. I got a set for 8 there that were from Crate and Barrel a couple of years ago for $14.....it pays to check there! I haven't seen the plates at WM but will take a look.

Thank you Froggy for posting that link, I ordered the dishes, love the set I got last year. They do have several pieces on Ebay, but they are expensive. Couldn't resist getting these for this year. Thanks!!

Re: WM BH&G..Holiday dinnerware

I haven't seen the new Christmas dishes yet at my local WM, but will keep an eye out, although I am hoping for another design other than the owl, as I don't really care for this one. I loved the ones from last year though. Thanks for posting the info.

That is so convenient. I had no idea. I don't need or want the whole set, but if I did, ordering would be the most likely way to get all the pieces. My store never has a good selection of things like this--never.

I think that I paid $3 or $4 apiece for the salad plates so the price for the set is not bad - even if you don't want them all.

BTW last year they had matching table linens - also very cute. Hope they have them again this year.

Re: WM BH&G..Holiday dinnerware

I received my 8 plates today, they are gorgeous, the price was right too. Each one is unique and just so pretty, love the owls, the farmhouse, tree & deer. All just so nice. So happy I got them before they sell out. Had a hard time last year, so didn't want to wait and not get them. Thanks again.

Re: WM BH&G..Holiday dinnerware

As much as I do NOT need another set of holiday dishes, I ended up buying these and the platter that was shown online. They also had cookie jars (pretty, but I don't bake cookies that often).

Waiting for mine to come and will mix them with some other holiday dishes I have.

I need to stop looking at these threads!
