I agree it really is beautiful. I hope whoever buys it doesn't gut it and modernize it. If it needs updating, I hope they restore instead of remodel. Thank you for posting @ECBG

Beautiful country home. I didn't know that Vivien Leigh (she spelled her name with an e) had a daughter and a grandson. That could explain why the home hadn't been sold earlier. And Ms Leigh died at only 53, of tuberculosis. I was foolish enough to think that didn't happen in the 1960s.

Gorgeous property! The inside reminds me of a Movie Set from the 60's.

I hope the buyer doesn't demo it completely. It is understandable that it needs updating but not demo.

The grounds are gorgeous.  Old world looking.

 

Wished they showed more rooms as the pics taken look like anyone's house. 

 

The kitchen needs updating (or back-dating?)

 

I'm actually surprised the price is as low as it is though!

It looked like there's already some building going on. I think it's large enough that they don't need to make it any bigger. I didn't read the story/history. Perhaps they're putting on a garage.
