Re: Vintage Photos of Lucille Ball at Home

Fascinating, @Desert Lily ,  love seeing her different abodes, how they were decorated, etc.   I've never seen the New York pad with Gary Morton-- fun!

In interviews, she would always place a high premium on her home life, with her kids, away from all the pressures.  I'm sure that her various homes did represent a haven for her.

Re: Vintage Photos of Lucille Ball at Home

Thanks for sharing these @Desert Lily !

#19 - Wow! I'd never seen a picture of her with dark hair before! She was truly beautiful!

Interesting to me was all of the cigarettes and packs in the pictures. Didn't Desi die from lung cancer? Lucy also had a raspy voice in her later years if I remember correctly.

I read once that Desi said she was the love of his life. He fell in love with her when he first saw her, and she was the last person he talked with before he died.

Re: Vintage Photos of Lucille Ball at Home

I just finished watching some of I Love Lucy's TV shows, I love the Hollywood trip episodes and they still make me laugh!!!!!  Seeing these photos gives insight into Lucy outside of show business, her homes and children.  I love the Manhattan apartment!

Like the Honeymooners,  I Love Lucy lives on and continues to make us laugh and enjoy her comic genius.  I never tire of seeing the episodes after all this time.  Thanks for sharing these great photos of her time at home being a wife and mom!!!!

Re: Vintage Photos of Lucille Ball at Home

I think Lucy looked most beautiful with her natural dark hair (I heard it was dark) in photo #19.

Great vintage photos.
