The rug arrived well packaged, rolled up. I spread it out on the hardwood floor several hours ago, but It is still ripply from being rolled up. I don't like that. Is it going to flatten out nicely?

If it's really stiff - it will definitely take time - perhaps longer than you'd expect. Be careful of any rolled up edges where toe of shoes can catch and trip you up. I've never been a fan of those rugs, just for that reason. Perhaps placing heavy furniture on for a while would help.

@Another new name Sue maybe you could mist it with some water and put something weighted on the corners.

Mine came today as well.....mine is rolled at the end, too...so we laid heavy books all along the end ...it looks like it is going to flatten
out okay..
I do have some ripples i am hoping will lay flat in a day or two...the little rug we rolled reverse and put rubber bands all along it...when we took the bands off and laid it down reverse it looks like it is going to be just fine...
My only concern with the little one is it will easily slide...very dangerous..not sure where i will use it for that reason...
My one dissappointment is the rug isn't very comfortable on the bare feet...i didn't expect plush...but i really had hoped for something more then it is..
I do like the look in my living room...i bought the red for in here..i have a green one coming for the kitchen...i expect to keep them...too difficult to send back...

I haven't used one of these inside, but outside they flatten out with water and sun. I purposely wet down a new one, and between that and some sun, they lay flat pretty quickly.
Inside, I'm not sure what you will do. If you have a clean concrete area outside to lay it out and dampen it and let it get warm in the sun, then hang it over the rail of the deck or porch, it might help before taking it inside when dry.

Also, try rolling it in the opposite direction from they way it was packaged and 'working' it a bit. That might go a long way toward flattening it.

I haven't seen these new rugs but my problem with the woven plastic mats they sold in the past was that they created a dangerous tripping hazard. After almost breaking my neck, I put mine in the garbage.

It's windy here.........I have to hold mine down with bricks on the corners

I have used rugs like this for years, but not inside. Outside, they flatten out pretty quickly. After a few days, they settle down.
Rolling it in the opposite direction helps.
And, I would not use it inside on hardwood without some kind of light padding underneath.
I think they would be slippery unless you had furniture/table/chairs sitting on it.

I'd be measuring the rug(s) to make sure they are what they say they are. Last time I bought 2 of these for my front porch they were not the size they said they were. This means they were smaller on the front porch. I was very griped because by the time the season rolled around to use them it was way too late to return them.
I buy my rugs elsewhere now.
