I purchased 1 those many years ago. when I washed it, it fell into a totally crumbled mess. I packed it up and went to return to Penney's. They were (in my opinion) sincerely crappy blankets.----------tedEbear

Have you tried that Cozelle down alternative blanket? It's a $20 bill and a wonderful purchase. I told my friend about it then she bought one, came back and bought 5 more for Christmas gifts! I love that blanket.

My entire family uses the Vellux blanket in the winter. I really like how light it is yet warm. Over the years I imagine its been washed hundreds of times and still looks brand new, binding and all. It obviously was NOT made in China as they probably are now.
