Although I have a modern aesthetic for the most part, I just think Valerie Parr Hill is so talented as the company owner ad well as the presenter.

I'm watching some of her House-to-Home Harvest Edition show and wow she has a lot of new stuff and she does such a great job presenting.

I had a hard day today at work, I've come home exhausted. Her voice is so soothing and Jayne Brown ( host) is so soothing and wonderful as well. Beautiful stuff to look at..

She just sells the items. She doesn't design them. I think her line has gone downhill for years. Everything looks cheap and could be found in bargain bins in stores like Kohls and Michaels.

@LizzieInSRQ  I agree about Valerie's demeanor and also Jayne's. They work perfectly together! I think Valerie's prices are getting up there, but not over the top. Valerie gives us so many decorating ideas, but I'm now finding some things on Amazon that are less expensive. I'm not going to stop tuning into VPH. She has great ideas. And, Jayne adds so much to it.

I didn't say she designed them. But she did start out her career as a decor designer. She doesnt "just" sell the items, she owns the company. I didnt see anything id consider downhill in todays show, which is one of reasons i was inspired to post.  I rarely start posts, actually. I don't find her items cheap looking but that is subjective I guess. I've not seen her stuff in stores but she also sells on Amazon and other outlets as well.

So funny to see a negative post in reply to a positive one (usually the opposite). You are allowed to comment and that is the risk I take.Ce La Vie.

I enjoy watching Valerie, too @LizzieInSRQ .  I haven't watched QVC very much in a long time but just started watching again during Christmas in July.  Valerie is my favorite to watch, and Jayne is very good with her.

And you felt this comment was necessary, why?

@LizzieInSRQ I totally agree with you.  I love watching Valerie, in fact, she's the ONLY 'show' I watch on QVC.  Sometimes I pop in on David's shows, but for the most part, everyone else gets on my nerves!  Jane is fantastic and when paired with Valerie its a must-watch even when I'm not buying!!

Actually, she does design them, or at least some of them. I have heard her say more than once something like "this took us a year to get it the way I wanted it." Believe one of the things I got, the lantern recently, was where I heard her say that. So she must have some input, if not most or all.

I'm a "recreational" Valerie and Jayne watcher too! Unfortunately, I miss a lot of their shows, since not watching that much. Rarely purchase these days, but who cares?   Valerie always brings grace and serenity, and Jayne is fun and has good ideas.

I love Valerie combined with two of the slightly more "mischievous" and funny hosts, Jayne and Rick....
