Valerie Parr Hill Reindeer Set - Question

Did anyone get this in the gold version? I have the pewter and it is understated and very elegant, I am WL for the gold but have a feeling it may be cheap and gaudy looking. Anyone have this? What do you think?

Re: Valerie Parr Hill Reindeer Set - Question

I have both and they are very pretty. Of course, we all have color preferences but the gold is my favorite. Not cheap or gaudy to me and the gold works better with my other décor. I don't do a lot of silver in my decorations so I just added the silver Reindeer to a forest scene that I do on top of a large entertainment center. Hope you're happy with yours when they arrive.

I might add that I thought the gold looked a little brassy when it was shown on air, more so than when I received them. But, like I said, I do a lot of gold in my holiday décor.

That is the word I was looking for - brassy. I received the candlestick holder for the fall that Jill presented, with the ribbon and sugared fruit and returned it immediately as it was so cheap and brassy looking. Even my DH said that looks like cheap junk, and he was right. It looked 100% better on TV.
