Valerie Parr Hill Christmas Lantern

I just received the Lantern that Valerie shows with the Carolers for Christmas. In my package were 2 little pages of instructions along with 4 plastic things that look like nails. they are the same finish as the Lantern and i don't know what they're for. Anybody have any ideas. I installed the batteries and everything works fine without those extra pieces but they have to be used for something. Thanks for any help.
