I prefer a canister vacuum and wondered if anyone owns a Miele or Simplicity and if so, would you recommend it?

I was a canister gal too. And when we knew our Kenmore was on its way out we did look at Miele. But the price was over $1500 and that was several years ago. It did demo quite nicely for the 2 hours we got sucked into the store.

After buying a cheap Bissell upright to get us by my hubby eventually bought a tsv Sharke which works as well as the Miele. It probably won't last as long though.

I bought a Oreck off Q about 3 years old it bit the dust.

i have long hAir  cats need I say moure😳🐾🙀they shed and shed🎂🙈

the Oreck does not have a canister for baseboards, etc, I borrowed the shark navigator from a friend -- holy crow I couldn't believe how much hair it picked up. It's a little heavy but it is what I'm looking for.

my summer necessities are growing for my home!!!

Vacuums have gotten so good that it's no longer necessary to spend a fortune to have clean floors.  Both Shark and Dyson have good cannister vacuums...I don't think you could buy better at any price.

No Miele or Simplicity, but between my mom and I, 50 years of using an Electrolux canister vac, a wonderful and dependable vacuum.  I purchased a Shark Navigator Freestyle cordless for quick pickups (cat litter, fur, crumbs) on wood floors, tile and carpeting and find myself using it everyday.  I haven't touched my Electrolux since!  The Shark does a great job and I highly recommend it!

@adirondakgirl

I bought an Electrlux from Q almost 20 years ago and the dang thing just won't die, so I can switch to an upright for a change, LOL!
