Hi everyone, I received the church and carolers cloches today.  I am quite pleased with both of them.  They have a few minor flaws in the glass but nothing that distracts from the scene.  I just knew I'd be returning at least one of them for defects but so far, no.  I'm testing the timers now so will know about that in a few days.  I also received the snowballs but when I checked my battery supply I didn't have enough to test them so will go for batteries tomorrow for them.  So far, it's looking good.

I am so glad you are happy with your cloches. After your disappointment last year, I'm glad you finally got your hands on them.  I have had my church out since Monday night and so far so good on the timer (and its working in the correct position).  Still contemplating another for a gift but now I'm a bit concerned about the glass issues some have had.  Still thinking about what to do with that but Kel mentioned getting one before the CIJ weekend as I'm sure they will go for sure.

Good morning MTH, thanks and I am loving my cloches.  If you want to order cloches for gifts, if it comes and isn't what you want you can always return it.  I think they will all go during this month for sure.  I'd love one for a gift, wouldn't you?  I see my doves shipped today.  If I don't stop I'll be living under a tree soon.  I will be looking for Valerie's sneak peek next week.  I do want to see if she brings in the new twist finials.  They look really pretty.

I think I will be under that tree with you.  My Christmas closet is busting at the seams these days.  I would LOVE to have had someone give me a cloche for a gift.  I'm scared to see what may be on Val's sneak peak.  I bet those finials will be in there.  I think she know everyone is waiting for them.  Of course...then we still have later in the year.

It is hard to decide, buy, or wait? How much more money or space should I spare?

I do love that we have until January to return, that helps.

I also remember that last year, the CIJ shows had the best stuff, and it was kind of a bust after that for the VPH line, so I guess it's 'get it while the gettin's good'!

Re: VPH scenes under glass arrived today, mixed feelings about these.

We just received the carolers cloche and the glass dome is just unacceptable! There is a smudge that can't be removed and so many air bubbles that it is distracting when looking at the scene inside. Additionally, if I tried to use it for other scenes I make myself, they will be even more distracting/obvious.

I just ordered another one so I can return this one when it arrives. Normally I would just return and they can send me a replacement if I am unhappy with an item. However, I don't know how many caroler cloches are left, so played it safe, so to speak...

Ugh...tired of returns...oh well Smiley Sad

Hi MIO:  I think you may be right. I also don't remember purchasing much new stuff after CIJ.  Guess I should just take the chance and order another one.

I agree that Valeries holiday offerings last year were not nearly as nice, comparing them to the  CIJ items.

Re: VPH scenes under glass arrived today, mixed feelings about these.

Hi MTH and Lucy - I am glad I got the snowman. I have been thinking about him now for awhile and I actually don't mind the small version (last year's is quite large as I have the angel one), but I wanted to grab him as I am worried he will sell out before next weekend or they will present them again and it will sell out. Ugh, I really hope I don't find much next weekend, but then again what would be the fun in that! lol I am also anxious to see Val's preview next week - I see Sunday night's programming for her says "all new" or something like that. I also purchased the Kringle Express gift bag set they had on last night as it was free S&H and I think around 18.00 or something - couldn't pass that up!! I always have little things I need for small gifts so that will work out great! Really can't wait for next weekend's programs!

Hi Kel:  Glad you got your snowman.  You will love him when he arrives.  I love the Kringle Express bags. Last week they had a "last clicks" set from last year for around $9 & change.  I ordered that too.  I used an entire set last year. Loved them and so did DH. It was easy wrapping for him.

oh no! This is so frustrating to hear! I think you did the right thing by just ordering another one and not chancing it. I picked up a snowman one last night and if I have troubles with the glass, I am doing the same you did! Hope your replacement is better Susan!

Hi MTH - Glad to hear someone else has purchased them and likes them! That's a great price you got on them - can't pass that up!
