That rep gave you bad information. Q will refund original shipping and waive the return fee. Talk to another rep.

The painting & structure are at standards; short of the timer function TBD if it is at standards (I am test-driving these in my second guest bathroom featuring my many Partylite Forbidden Fruits collection which looks stunning, I might add). I have been so lucky so far this year; believe me I've been on the other end more times than I care to mention. I'm in CIJ Heaven!!
And we have a winner!! Someone who finally got a good set. You have been blessed by the finial gods!
Glad they came in good for you. You are now the envy of an entire home forum thread!
MIO, too funny. I can't say I'm in finial Heaven but I'm still testing timers and takes a few days. If the timers work, I may overlook some of the flaws, haven't decided.

They absolutely did give you wrong info. Probably a newer CS rep. They always pay shipping both ways for damaged or defective items. I would contact another CS rep, but wait until Monday during business hours, and ask for Customer service (you don't want an order operater) or use the Customer Service number on top of your invoice. They will get it straightened out for you. And when you CC is credited, be sure to make sure you got your full refund. If not, call back, as sometimes the people that process the credits don't do it right, but CS will fix it after the fact.

I am so glad I didn't order these. After last years disappointments on her Mercury glass items, I decided I would not order anything with lighted Mercury glass again. Now I am reading the reviews which seem varied. Some good with a lot of bad.
Since they changed the shipping policy, I really think out my purchases and am very selective. They really need to work on improving their quality. $50 for subpar quality isn't good.

I am sorry the products are not up to par, but thank you for posting this because you saved me money. I had my eye on these finials but was waiting for reviews and when I checked under the product the reviews are not good! So then I came here to double check.

mine arrived looking beautiful, no apparent flaws, but then tonight after being on timer for 3 nights the middle one started blinking and flashing, NOT happy. Back they go and i don't want a replacement, even though they are not available right now , if they were I wouldn't ! Getting tired of all the problems and defective items.

Mine have been on timer for about four nights but I still have the box and papers as I'm not sure yet. So far they are good. Sorry that yours malfunctioned, very disappointing.

I purchased 3 sets in Silver with the intention of only keeping 2, because I was sure that with my luck, some would be defective. 2 finials were, but I was able to get two full sets that worked well. They're really starting to grow on me. Here's a pic on my cabinet with the White Solare Mosaic candles, and Silver Luminara Hurricane candles:

@PeterDMThanks for the picture, Peter. I'm liking my finials and so far they are working perfectly. I have the white Solare ones and they are great. I wish the Luminara didn't change to gold when lit, work well with gold when lit but silver unlit. How do you work yours into your groupings? Oh, I love the black/white floor, reminds me of a fifties diner but still looks very modern.
