Another very traditional, almost Williamsburg-like Christmas, this one in the home of Ashley Hanley:

Very pretty.   I am not really into antiques or old houses.

The house I grew up in had radiators.  I felt like we were living in the dark ages, lol.

The dog is the best!Woman Very Happy

The bathroom is very pretty and well done.

I think the rest is a little too many things to look at and not many places either to put a cup or drink.

The little tree is very nice.

It's fun to look at but almost like a gift shop.

But no matter if I like anything or not it is always much fun to look at it all so thanks again @Oznell.

I always enjoy your enthusiastic writing too and your appreciation of these older and grand houses.

Though sometimes I think professional designers make things a little too staged and/or perfect. Sometimes it works and sometimes it just looks like a photo out of a designer magazine to showcase what they do, more than a comfortable place to live.

Though I guess they are going to take pictures when everything is set up and looks the best.

@Puppy Lips,

We had radiators at our first house.

They were so good for drying clothes and diapers lol!

I missed them when they replaced them with electric heaters that we sometimes burned ourselves on.

And no more drying clothes on them.

@on the bay ,  yeah, it can be a little much-- but I understand when traditionalists go a little nuts at Christmas, even though I'm more pared down myself.

It is a real family that lives here with her, I think, including kids.

I wish these particular photos weren't quite so dark-- that doesn't help.

My favorite image is the view from the hall into the bedecked living room, with the noble pup at the ready...

I love old homes and antiques. Wouldn't necessarily want to live in one, but sure enjoy these pictures.

@Oznell   Oh my, the beautiful yellow lab along with the blue and white accents of Wedgewood and other items are my favorites.

Looks like a nice home with some pretty detail work and a number of lovely elements, though I'm not sure I always like the way they've been combined.
