Lots of fun ideas, @lolakimono

And much more inventive than the old "boards on cement blocks" to make a bookcase idea.

 

About ten years ago or so I covered the picture area of an empty frame with black velvet and backed it with a bit of styrofoam and stuck pins/brooches in it.  It sat on my dresser for years and was fun to look at until I stopped wearing pins as much.

@lolakimono  We did this tire planter years ago.  They work great but aren't that easy to cut and turn.  They last  and only need to be repainted.  Thanks for sharing.
