I have unstuffed a My Pillow and it was very simple. Ditto for removing buckwheat from a Sobakawa pillow. If you have basic sewing knowledge and access to a sewing machine (or are really good with tiny hand stiching) you won't have any problem. I save the innards for other projects so if your Joy pillow gets too flat maybe you can restuff it. I have a travel size Joy pillow but no clue what is inside of it. Good luck!

Ally24.....You should make the pillow to your liking. Get that seam ripper and run for it, just keep the filling you remove because you can always put it back if it gets too thin!!! Just go for it!!!
Tigriss, just wanted to mention that if you don't already have the pillowcases tht go with these, order them. The cool side will prevent you from getting "super hot and sweaty" in the warm weather, and the other side keeps you warm in the winter. The pillowcases made all the difference for me.
